James has experience in developing numerous treatment programs, creating group curriculums, and training staff in all levels of care from residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. James has over 13 years working in mental health, substance abuse, co occurring disorders, and has managed sober living homes. James also has experience as a Case Manager working with traditional tract substance use and mental health clients, as well as working with First Responders. James oversees multiple virtual outpatient programs and is passionate in working in the field to be able to experience the growth and progress of clients afflicted with mental health and substance use disorders, along with experiencing the professional growth and development of his clinical staff. After his own struggles with addiction and mental health for 24 years of his life since the age of 13 years old, James is dedicated to providing the best care and services available to clients to be able to accomplish their recovery goals. James enjoys spending time with his daughter, grandsons, camping, hiking, golfing, and watching his beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
My passion for mental health started over ten years ago when I found myself overcoming my own challenges with mental health. Since then, I have dedicated my career and education to mental health. Specializing in PTSD, Trauma, substance abuse, behavioral health, and family therapy. I have spent the last five years of my career working with a wide range of clients from adolescents, families, couples, and first responders. Through my experience I have obtained an extensive understanding of operations, administration and client care within mental health treatment which has now led me into consulting a wide range of mental health facilities. My hope is to use my knowledge and passion in mental health to ensure that we are able to provide the most beneficial and meaningful client care for each individual client. I currently obtain a Bachelors in Psychology from Cal Baptist University and currently enrolled in their LMFT/ LPCC Masters program.
Adrene Powell is the Director of Client Benefits and Services and has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources. Adrene brings extensive knowledge of disability management, workers’ compensation, FMLA, sick leave, unpaid leave, and compliance to her position. In her current role, Adrene provides a complete understanding of the processes necessary to guide clients through the administration of recovery support documentation. Adrene’s philosophy centers around her passion to contribute, support, and make a difference. In her spare time, Adrene enjoys reading, going to the beach, and all things Disney!!
